The original home of the Modernist Society. This Chicago bar has it all, roomy banquettes, massive dancefloor space and plenty of good vibes and great smoky atmosphere.
7. Sonotheque - [visit site]
Swank Chicago lounge with top-shelf DJ talent on a nightly basis. Probably one of the best DJ booths I've ever been in. I still dream about that Rane mixer with all the rotary knobs.

DC's latest and greatest venue, where the 'Collective holds it down every Friday & Saturday night!
9. Bourbon - [visit site]
Swanky atmosphere, stellar selection of spirits, excellent bistro food. Home of the Modernist Society, DC edition.
