This new batch of tunes (especially that Dalindeo LP, hoo-boy) makes saying goodbye a little easier.

1.  Dalindeo - Open Scene [Ricky Tick] Spectacular dancefloor jazz from Finland with the lovely Michiko on vocals. Breezy, grooving, and positively joyous all the way through! If you are reading this, go buy this NOW.

2.  Justice - D.A.N.C.E. [Ed Banger] Yeah, all the indie kids love the post-disco thing, but this is DFA-nitely a standout in the punk-funk crowd.

3.  Voodoo Chilli - Look What You Done to Me [Dubsided] More banging dancefloor madness from Dubsided. If you're feeling it the way I am feeling it, these guys can do no wrong.

4.  Aldo Vanucci - Can I Get a Soul Clap? [Vanucci Records] Mr. Vanucci turns the mash-up scene on its ear. Detailed production, very well-done and much better than the usual acapella over a too-well-known club cut. Killer!

5.  E-40 - White Gurl [Reprise Records] An easy standout on The Rub's Northern Exposure Tour CD, this is a hyphy banger, even without Amanda Blank's pitch-perfect guest rap.

6.  Belleruche - Turntable Soul Music [Tru Thoughts] Following Alice Russell's lead, Belleruche come through with a solid debut. Nice beats and loads of soul.

7.  DJ Edgar - Baile Funk Masters #3 [Man Records] DJ Edgar takes Benny Benassi, Deee-lite and Outfield to the Brazil ghetto. They all are better for it.

8.  Scottie B - Money Lotion, Vol. 3 [Money Studies] Baltimore Club legend Scottie B drops the Ben E. King sample from Beautiful Girls and turns it into a dancefloor monster.

9.  Small Change - Nuggets #1 [BSTRD Boots] Stevie Wonder gets the remix treatment, with Italian(!) vocals and 60s soul breaks-style mix on the front side and a slick reggae mash-up of Living for the City on the flip.

10.  Jackson Sisters - I Believe in Miracles [Urban] A disco-funk classic of the purest kind. This is soulful, joyous, life-affirming music.
