7.  Ghislain Poirier - Go Ballistic feat. Zulu [Ninja Tune] Ragga-flavored dancefloor action from Canadian Ghislain Poirier. Bass-heavy and hard hard hard.

8.  The Million Dollar Orchestra - Funky Funky Beat [BBE Records] From the Better Days album, this is brand new disco but sounds straight outta 1976. Astounding and utterly authentic.

9.  M.I.A. - Paper Planes (DFA Remix) [XL Recordings] From the Homeland Security Remixes EP. Yeah, everyone loves Paper Planes, but DFA flips the track into a techy downtempo number. You almost don't miss the gunshots in the chorus.

10.  Leroy Hutson - Blackberry Jam [Curtom Records] From the classic and classy Hutson II album (1976). Super soulful, deep and funky. Awesomeness care of Som Records.
